Title: Google Cloud Platform Architect Location: Bridgewater, NJ Cloud team is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Architect/ Google Cloud Platform DevOps with a specialization in DevOps, Google Cloud Platform Administration, Google Cloud Platform Design, Google Cloud Platform Migration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructures and services on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), with a focus on migrating services and applications between these cloud platforms. CI/CD Implementation: • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment, testing, and monitoring. • Ensure the timely and reliable delivery of software releases. Infrastructure Management: • Manage and scale their infrastructure in a cloud-based environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform). • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) principles for provisioning and configuration. • Perform L3 support activities to manage and maintain the production environment. Security and Compliance: • Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices for securing cloud systems, network traffic, and data. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Build and maintain storage solutions for sensitive data (e.g. WGS sequencing). Monitoring and Performance: • Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues. • Optimize system performance and resource utilization. Documentation: • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes and procedures. Communication • Act as a liaison bridging research and informatics teams with core IT.

Key Responsibilities

Design innovative cloud solutions on AWS and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. Expertise in migrating from AWS to Google Cloud Platform and SharePoint to Google Cloud Platform. Oversee AWS and Google Cloud Platform infrastructures, optimizing for cost efficiency and performance. Implement and manage security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies. Manage deployment and operations of applications on AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Develop comprehensive migration plans for AWS to Google Cloud Platform and SharePoint to Google Cloud Platform transitions. Execute migrations ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity. Ensure cloud architectures adhere to security best practices and compliance standards. Implement robust security measures and best practices. Provide technical leadership in cloud strategy and architectural best practices for AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Serve as a consultant to internal teams on cloud-related initiatives. Monitor cloud environments post-migration for operational efficiency. Optimize systems for performance and cost-effectiveness following migration. Monitor and optimize cloud spending for efficient resource utilization. Qualifications: • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. • Extensive experience as an AWS/Google Cloud Platform Architect, with a strong focus on cloud migrations. • Deep understanding of AWS and Google Cloud Platform services, cloud design patterns, and cloud operations. • Proven experience in architecting, deploying, and managing AWS and Google Cloud Platform environments. • Expertise in cloud security, compliance, and risk management. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex migration projects. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Relevant AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform certifications are highly desirable Apply Job!
