Basic Purpose The Technical Service Representative will d rive sales volume growth by gaining specification approval as the primary contact for customers Engineering and R&D teams. This person would be responsible for coordinating other technical needs such as sample support, FEA, training with regional Account Managers. Technical Service Representatives are accountable for providing sales support and expertise through technical knowledge and industry experience. In the role the position will provide material selection and processing assistance to customers, as well as identity new projects for Nexeo at the design stage. Position Responsibilities Provide technical support for material offered by Nexeo in multiple applications. Troubleshoot customer related issues around the use of products in their applications and develop solutions for customer products. Deliver technical information to customers with awareness of customer context and level of comfort. Facilitate training to internal and external customers on materials, their properties, features, and processing of products creating added value. Engage with cross functional teams for technical perspective, coordination of activities with teams for customer value added services and offer. Understanding of target marketing and the ability to develop relationships with decision makers. Value Proposition: Understands entire value offering from Nexeo and competitors.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience & Skills) Bachelors degree in Engineering, business, or a related technical field is preferred. Experience with flexible Films. Bilingual English/Spanish desired. 3+ years of related industry experience is desired. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to conduct customer (internal & external) training sessions as necessary. Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required. Driven self-starter with ability to establish, prioritize, and organization task. Experience with SAP is preferred. 40% overnight travel Nexeo Plastics is an equal opportunity employer.
