This entails navigating the pick area of the warehouse and building stable pallets of products while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency standards. Duties & Responsibilities: • Use the instructions on the pick ticket to place the product quantities onto designated pallets, taking necessary precautions to ensure safe and stable transportation. • Relocate pallets of stacked goods to different warehouse areas by making use of a Pallet Jack, a type of Powered Industrial Truck. • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and well-organized warehouse by completing necessary housekeeping tasks. • Perform PIT equipment inspections daily, documenting any and all issues in the checklist, and informing the Warehouse Management team immediately. • Correct any mistakes identified by the checker regarding product and quantity. • Carry out miscellaneous tasks to increase the throughput of the warehouse operations. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Being skilled in functioning competently in a fast-paced environment, traveling by foot, and frequently lifting objects that weigh 30 pounds. • Ability to elevate a weight of up to 75 lbs. • An effective team collaboration strategy involves defining roles, setting goals, and establishing regular check-ins and communication channels. • Monitor and evaluate the performance of warehouse workers and implement necessary improvements. • Be adaptable and flexible in your approach so that you can handle challenges that may arise throughout the day, effectively managing your workload and priorities. • If you are still having trouble, consult user manuals or help menus for further guidance. • A valuable skill to possess is the ability to differentiate between packages and maintain attention to detail. • Perform your job duties without relief from noise and erratic temperatures, which can cause discomfort and distraction. • As a proactive and motivated individual, I am highly versatile and flexible when it comes to scheduling and working hours. Minimum Qualifications: • A year of work is sufficient to attain an extensive understanding of a line of work. • Lack of certification for operating a Pallet Jack can result in serious consequences for both employees and employers. Preferred Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED certification proves that you have the necessary knowledge and skills. • Expertise acquired due to a 12-months' of job immersion. • PIT Certification for a Pallet Jack is an essential requirement in many industries, including manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. Work Environment: • This specific space is extremely loud and poorly temperature-controlled, resulting in excessive heat in summer and chills during winter.
