We are currently seeking experienced Legal/Judicial contract candidates with substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role is a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors... The content covered includes depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings, requiring intense attention to detail in discerning spoken words, familiarity with legal terminology, and excellent grammar. You will process audio recordings while strictly adhering to style guides to produce verbatim transcripts. As an independent contractor for VIQ Solutions, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while receiving support from our in-office team whenever necessary. We offer work availability 24/7/365 to accommodate any schedule, and those with weekend availability are particularly encouraged to apply. Skills • Experience with court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription required. • Excellent listening skills. • Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Outstanding literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Ability to collaborate remotely. • Typing proficiency in both speed and accuracy. • Capability to process extreme audio/text content (content may be sensitive). • Ability to pass a background check. • Familiarity with legal terminology. • Court reporting students will also be considered. • Please note that this opportunity is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
