Job Title: Security Officer (Part-Time) – Ketchikan

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer for a part-time role at our Ketchikan location. Job Description:

The Part-Time Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. The ideal candidate will be alert and attentive, with a high regard for safety and an understanding of security operations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

– Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry.

– Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.

– Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

– Maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

– Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent

– Valid guard card/license, as required in the state of Alaska

– Ability to effectively communicate with others

– Ability to handle stress and remain calm in emergency situations

– Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, and handle a minimum lifting requirement of 25 lbs

Experience:

Previous security experience is advantageous but not mandatory as extensive training will be provided for the right candidate.
