Job Summary:
FedEx Freight, one of the largest and most respected transportation providers in the United States, is seeking experienced, safety-conscious Hazmat Truck Drivers. This full-time position includes competitive pay ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, as well as comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid training, and paid vacations.
Job Description:
Our Hazmat Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of hazardous materials to our customers. This includes performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining compliance with all State and Federal regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
– Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport hazardous materials in liquid or packaged form.
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues.
– Comply with all State and Federal laws regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
– Maintain accurate logs of all transport and vehicle repairs.
– Provide exceptional customer service during the delivery and pick-up of materials.
Requirements:
– Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement.
– Minimum of 3 years of previous experience driving a tractor-trailer.
– A clean driving record.
– Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical agility test.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Educational Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
– Prior experience with handling and transporting hazardous materials preferred.
