Job Summary:
We are looking for a part-time cashier to join our team at Walmart in Gilbert, Arizona. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and is perfect for individuals who are seeking flexible work hours. The position is part-time and requires less than 4 hours of work daily. Description:
As a cashier at our Gilbert store, your primary responsibility will be to offer quick and efficient checkout services to our valued customers. You will handle all cash transactions, maintaining accuracy at all times. This role requires excellent customer service skills as you will be interacting with customers on a regular basis. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities:
– Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
– Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new ones
– Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
– Greet customers when entering or leaving establishments
– Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
– Keep reports of transactions
– Bag and carry out groceries
– Process returns and check to see if items are damaged
Requirements:
– Proven working experience in retail cashier or sales
– Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters etc.)
– Strong communication and time management skills
– Customer satisfaction-oriented
– Attention to detail and mathematical skills
– Sales skills
Educational Qualifications:
A high school degree or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Previous cashier experience is a plus, but not required as we will provide on-the-job training.
