Working Hours: Under 4 hours per day

We, at Con Edison, Inc., are seeking an industrious and dedicated Part-time Utility Worker to join our team. As a Utility Worker, you will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.

Job Description:

As a Utility Worker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. These tasks may include cleaning shop areas, offices, and restrooms, restocking supplies, conducting minor maintenance repairs, and assisting with inventory control. You will also be responsible for following safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities

2. Conduct minor maintenance repairs as needed

3. Manage inventory control and restock supplies as necessary

4. Follow and enforce safety regulations and procedures

5. Assist other staff members as needed

6. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred

3. Knowledge of basic maintenance and cleaning procedures

4. Strong attention to detail

5. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Educational Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. Any additional certifications relating to facilities management or related fields would be considered a plus.
