Job Type: Part-time, Flexible Contract - Work From Home Pay: $45/Hour As a Virtual School Occupational Therapist (OT), you will play a vital role in supporting the overall well-being and academic success of students enrolled in our virtual school programs across Illinois. You will work remotely to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services, assessments, interventions, and consultations to students with diverse abilities and needs. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living (ADLs). • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and intervention strategies to address students' unique occupational therapy needs. • Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. • Provide virtual therapy sessions using telehealth platforms, ensuring effective communication and engagement with students. • Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to facilitate skill development and achievement of therapeutic goals. • Provide ongoing support and guidance to educators and caregivers regarding strategies for promoting students' functional independence and participation in learning activities. • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant data in compliance with state regulations and professional standards. • Stay informed about best practices, evidence-based interventions, and current trends in occupational therapy to enhance service delivery and student outcomes. • Participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of virtual school occupational therapy. Qualifications: • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. • Valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Illinois. • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). • Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or pediatric setting preferred. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members. • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms and virtual therapy tools for remote service delivery. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting therapy sessions and progress reports. • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional integrity in all aspects of service delivery. • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic virtual school environment.
