Instructional Designer (Oil & Gas Industry)

Our large energy industry client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to transform its current training program for technicians into a unified, competency-based enterprise-wide training system. This initiative will involve updating and customizing curricula to align with identified competency requirements across different job positions and business lines. Responsibilities... • Analyze existing content and map it to the approved competency framework produced by the learning analyst. • Create the design and confer with the developer about images and interactions contemplated. • Produce a story board with suggested images, interaction and a voice over script. • Work with Quality Assurance and subject matter experts to ensure updated content meets the technical and competency requirements. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field. • Proficient in analysis and providing recommendations and best practices for blended learning solutions. • Familiarity with adult learning principles and educational technologies. • Experience in creating training for highly technical content, preferably within the oil and gas industry. • Expertise with Articulate 360, must own license • Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word • A strong portfolio of relevant work samples. • Able to collaborate in a large team and to work on two-three lessons at a time. Start Date: Q3 2024 Duration: through the end of 2025 with likely extensions Hours: 40 hours per week (would consider 20 hours) Location: 100% Virtual The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
