Part-Time Litigation Paralegal

Key Responsibilities • Document Preparation: Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. • E-filing: E-file all court documents in state court. • Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties. • Research: Conduct legal research and factual investigations. • Discovery Management: Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses. • Drafting: Draft and serve summons, pleadings, and motions to file with the court. • Coordination: Coordinate depositions. • Organization: Maintain indexes for pleadings and discovery; organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. • Support: Assist attorneys with discovery requests and gather relevant information. • Settlement Assistance: Provide assistance with case settlements. Qualifications • Education: Associate's Degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Florida Workers' Compensation experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or within a law firm setting. Experience with the DOAH Database for e-filing is required. • Skills: Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while handling workload independently. • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. • Licenses: Notary License is preferred.

And Benefits • Part-time position with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour • Expected hours: 10 per week • End of Year Bonus Pay • Paid Time Off • Note: No health insurance benefits are offered. Work Environment • This position is remote. • Schedule is Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week.
