Job Opportunity We are seeking experienced candidates for legal and judicial contract work focused on transcribing depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings. This position is 100% remote and open to Independent Contractors, with the flexibility to set your own schedule. Weekend availability is encouraged. Responsibilities • Transcribe audio recordings from depositions, hearings, and judicial proceedings while strictly adhering to style guides. • Ensure accuracy through intense attention to detail. • Utilize legal terminology and demonstrate excellent grammar. Qualifications • Significant experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is required. • Excellent listening skills and the ability to discern details in audio content. • Strong literacy skills, including comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Adherence to deadlines and client-specific style guides. • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote work environment. • Proficient typing skills with speed and accuracy. • Capability to process extreme audio/text content, which may include offensive material. • Ability to pass a background check. • Familiarity with legal terminology. • Court reporting students may also be considered. • Please note that this opportunity is not open to residents of Massachusetts or California. Technical Requirements To effectively utilize our global transcription technology, candidates must have: • High-speed internet connection. • A computer or laptop. • Quality noise-canceling headphones. • Windows 10 operating system. • An antivirus program with daily virus definition updates (excluding Webroot antivirus). • An Infinity foot pedal (highly recommended). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
