Product Manager, Google Compute Engineer Virtual Machines

Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role. • 2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas. Preferred qualifications: • Master's degree in a technology or business related field or equivalent practical experience. • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting). • 3 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership. • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering. • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. • 1 year of experience in technical leadership. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities • Drive new capabilities for the Virtual Machine (VM) instances in cloud including intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem and customer adoption • Responsible for the product strategy for the VM family including the associated business outcomes including presenting to key leadership inside Google Cloud • Understand the competitive dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware • Drive new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack) and deliver innovation for Google Cloud Apply Job!
