College: LCTCS Department: Administration Sub department: Information Technology Type of Appointment: Full time - Regular Salary: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and the development team. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. 2. Customer-Facing Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle. Understand and articulate client requirements, ensuring alignment between project deliverables and customer expectations. Proactively manage and resolve client issues or concerns while maintaining a positive and professional relationship. 3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to drive project success. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage productivity and creativity. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members, ensuring clarity on project objectives and tasks. 4. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively. Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. 5. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and documentation to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related field. Required Experience: Proven experience (3 years) in project management, specifically in software development projects, with a focus on customer-facing communications. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams. Solid organizational and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
