Job Description and Responsibilities This is a full-time (part-time applicants may be considered), itinerant role as a Teacher for the Blind or Visually Impaired located in Crystal Lake, IL. The B/VI Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with blindness or visual impairments in a school setting. Daily tasks include creating lesson plans, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators and professionals. • This is an itinerant position serving several buildings in a K-8 District. • Gen ed/low incidence population Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in a school setting • Vision specialization • Organizational and time management skills • Proficient in use of technology • Fingerprint background clearance • Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications • Teaching experience required • Background and criminal history check • Case management duties • Team collaboration • Student support services Benefits (eligibility dependent on employment status) • Competitive compensation package with benefits including health, dental, and vision and 401K.
