Position Overview

As a Call Center Representative at arenaflex, you will be entrusted with handling incoming emergency and non-emergency signals from residential and commercial alarm systems. This is not your typical customer service role — every interaction you have could be the difference between life and death for someone in distress. Your primary responsibility will be to receive alarm activations, verify their authenticity through established protocols, and dispatch the appropriate authorities when necessary. You will serve as the calm, professional voice on the other end of the line during some of the most critical moments in our customers' lives.

Please note the following important details about this position:

  • You must reside in New Jersey and live no more than 45 minutes from Manasquan, New Jersey to be considered, as the paid training period is conducted on-site.
  • This is a full-time position only — unfortunately, this role is not suitable as a second job because we are classified as essential personnel.
  • Paid training will begin on-site in Manasquan, NJ on January 2nd, 2024.
  • After successful completion of training and meeting performance criteria, hybrid remote work opportunities may be available, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while staying connected to the team.

Available Shifts

arenaflex operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year because emergencies do not follow a 9-to-5 schedule. We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift (Overnight): 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Shifts are typically 8, 10, or 12 hours in length, with weekend, holiday, and overtime availability required. Shift differentials of up to $4.00 per hour are available for evening and overnight hours, and bilingual team members may be eligible for additional pay differentials.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of the arenaflex monitoring team, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Handling Emergency Signals: Receiving and processing alarm activations from residential and commercial properties in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Notifying and Verifying Alarm Signals: Contacting customers, keyholders, or designated emergency contacts to verify the nature of the alarm and determine whether a true emergency exists.
  • Dispatching Proper Authorities: Coordinating with police, fire, EMS, and other emergency response teams to ensure the fastest possible response to verified incidents.
  • Documenting All Interactions: Maintaining detailed and accurate records of every signal, conversation, and action taken in compliance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing Outstanding Customer Service: Responding to general customer inquiries, providing account support, and de-escalating stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Adhering to Compliance Standards: Following all industry regulations, company policies, and security protocols to maintain the integrity of our monitoring operations.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a call center, dispatch, or emergency response environment.
  • Weekend, Holiday, and Overtime Flexibility: Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Computer Literacy: Comfortable using multiple software applications simultaneously, typing efficiently, and navigating computer systems with speed and accuracy.
  • Reliable Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to within 45 minutes of Manasquan, NJ 08736 before the training start date.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an exceptional candidate:

  • Prior experience in alarm monitoring, security, emergency dispatch, or 911 operator roles.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish strongly preferred — bilingual differential pay available).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during high-stress emergency situations.
  • Keen attention to detail and exceptional multitasking abilities.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
