[Remote] SAP S/4 MDG Functional Analyst (Open to Remote)

Penguin Random House is the leading adult and children's publishing house in North America, and they are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA MDG Consultant to design, implement, and support master data governance solutions. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant master data across the enterprise, supporting business processes and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP MDG solutions for domains such as:
• Business Partner (Customer/Vendor)
• Material Master
• Finance (Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers)
• Configure data models, UI, workflows, and business rules in MDG
• Define and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define master data processes and approval workflows
• Implement data validation, derivation rules, and duplicate checks
• Integrate MDG with SAP S/4HANA and other systems
• Support data replication using DRF (Data Replication Framework)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems
• Perform data migration and data cleansing activities
• Support testing (SIT, UAT) and resolve defects
• Provide end-user training and documentation
• Monitor and troubleshoot data governance processes and workflows

Skills

• 5+ years of SAP experience with hands-on MDG implementation
• Strong knowledge of SAP MDG architecture and frameworks
• Strong knowledge of master data domains (BP, Material, Finance)
• Experience with data modeling in MDG
• Experience with BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus)
• Experience with DRF (Data Replication Framework)
• Experience with workflow configuration
• Understanding of S/4HANA data models and business processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• SAP MDG or S/4HANA certification
• Experience with Central Finance or multi-system landscapes
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 applications
• Experience with data migration tools and ETL processes
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology
