[Remote] Database Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Jahnel Group is a fast-growing company focused on creating complex applications for clients across the country. They are seeking a Database Administrator who enjoys solving data-related problems and working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve application and data-related support tickets
• Write, test, and execute SQL scripts to perform data updates, corrections, and maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot production and UAT issues by analyzing data, stored procedures, and application behavior
• Identify root causes of system issues and work with development teams to implement solutions
• Support reporting and operational data requests across multiple business functions
• Modify and maintain existing stored procedures, queries, and database processes
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand system workflows and business rules
• Participate in ongoing application support, maintenance, and enhancement initiatives

Skills

• Strong SQL experience, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and stored procedures
• Experience troubleshooting data issues and performing production data analysis
• Familiarity with SQL Server or similar relational database platforms
• Ability to understand and navigate complex business logic within existing systems
• Experience working in ticket-driven support or maintenance environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience with Java applications is a plus but not required
• Experience supporting enterprise business applications is preferred
