Position Overview – Class A CDL Driver (Home Daily)

We are seeking reliable, safety‑focused Class A CDL drivers to join our growing team in Chattanooga, TN. This full‑time role offers a three‑day work week, 13‑hour shifts, and guaranteed home‑time after every shift. You’ll operate a modern, branded tractor‑trailer exclusively for high‑volume freight, delivering goods on routes that average 350‑450 miles round‑trip. Our deliveries are primarily “drop‑and‑hook” and “no‑touch” freight, meaning you’ll spend more time on the road and less time loading or unloading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Operation: Prioritize safety and compliance on every mile, adhering to DOT regulations, company policies, and best‑practice driving techniques.
  • Route Management: Complete 350‑450 mile round‑trip routes, maintaining on‑time delivery performance while respecting scheduled break times.
  • Drop‑and‑Hook Execution: Efficiently handle 90%+ drop‑and‑hook freight, ensuring trailers are exchanged quickly and securely.
  • Technology Utilization: Use handheld devices and a company‑provided iPhone to log hours, report issues, and communicate with dispatch and support staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with dispatch, maintenance, and administrative teams to resolve any operational challenges promptly.
  • Vehicle Care: Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the equipment clean and presentable.
  • Customer Representation: Represent arenaflex professionally when interacting with customers and partners at loading docks and delivery sites.

What You’ll Receive – Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $22 per hour base rate with overtime after 40 hours per week.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, even if a shift is cancelled.
  • Home Daily: Return home after every shift – no overnight stays in the cab.

Essential Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a background check and pre‑employment drug screening.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Prior experience with “drop‑and‑hook” or “no‑touch” freight operations.
  • Familiarity with modern telematics systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with dispatch and customers.
  • Excellent time‑management abilities and a track record of punctual deliveries.
