Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience Excellence

  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience that exceeds expectations at every touchpoint.
  • Engage customers and patients by warmly greeting them and offering proactive assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, professionally, and empathetically to ensure a positive outcome and lasting satisfaction.
  • Answer customer questions thoroughly, providing accurate information about products, services, and store policies.
  • Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits such as greeting, eye contact, and courtesy, as well as arenaflex service traits like offering help proactively, identifying customer needs, and servicing until satisfied.

Cash Register and Transaction Operations

  • Register sales accurately and efficiently on the assigned cash register.
  • Provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
  • Process cash, credit, debit, and other forms of payment, distributing change as requested.
  • Handle voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer records and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Implement arenaflex asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.

Product Recommendations and Sales Support

  • Recommend items for sale to customers based on their needs and preferences.
  • Suggest trade-up options and companion items to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
  • Promote arenaflex loyalty programs, special offers, and promotional items to drive sales.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, seasonal merchandise, and storewide events.

Merchandising and Store Presentation

  • Keep counters, shelves, and displays clean, organized, and well-merchandised at all times.
  • Take inventory as required and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
  • Check in and price merchandise according to directives from the store manager or shift leader.
  • Construct and maintain product displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
  • Complete resets and revisions as directed, ensuring that store layouts align with current marketing strategies.
  • Assist with the separation of food items (e.g., keeping raw foods separate from pre-cooked items) and ensure proper product placement per arenaflex policies and food safety guidelines.
  • For consumable items, assist in stock rotation using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method and restock out-of-stock items promptly.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
  • Verify customer age and identification when required for restricted purchases.
  • Follow all arenaflex policies and procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Report any safety hazards, incidents, or concerns to management immediately.

Photo and Digital Services

  • Provide customer service in the photo area, including operating digital passport photo services, poster printing, and creative machines.
  • Suggestively sell promotional photo products to enhance the customer’s experience.
  • Assist customers with online orders through Picture Care Plus, including monitoring orders, picking items, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.

Store Maintenance and Team Collaboration

  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers, maintaining respectful and professional relationships.
  • Complete special assignments and additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Communicate openly with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth store operations.

Training and Personal Development

  • Attend all required training sessions and complete Personal Progress Logs (PPLs) as requested by management or assigned by corporate leadership.
  • Participate in ongoing learning opportunities to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational expertise.
  • Embrace feedback and coaching as tools for professional growth and development.
  • Stay current on arenaflex policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age (or older as required by local regulations).
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico, where Spanish fluency may be required).
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service in a retail or customer-facing environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior retail, customer service, or cash handling experience.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software applications.
  • Experience with merchandising, product displays, or visual presentation.
  • Knowledge of food safety guidelines and proper handling of consumable items.
  • Previous experience in photo services, digital printing, or online order fulfillment.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus, particularly in markets with diverse customer bases.
