Why This Role Matters

As the Customer Development & Insights Manager, you will be the strategic bridge between arenaflex and one of our most important wholesale partners. You will own the end‑to‑end process of turning raw market data into actionable insights, shaping product strategy, and driving revenue growth. Your work will directly influence how arenaflex’s nutrition solutions reach millions of shoppers, deepen brand loyalty, and capture new market share.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Customer‑Centric Development (≈50% of your time)

  • Develop deep, account‑specific insights that illuminate shopper behavior, sales trends, and category dynamics for arenaflex’s wholesale partner.
  • Collaborate with internal category, sales strategy, and marketing teams to craft compelling sell‑stories and new‑item proposals that align with partner objectives.
  • Own the weekly data pull, analysis, and executive summary that keep arenaflex leadership informed of partner performance, inventory health, and emerging opportunities.
  • Lead the weekly partner meeting, presenting key performance indicators (KPIs), inventory status, and actionable recommendations.
  • Run and interpret weekly market research reports (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to surface growth levers and competitive threats.
  • Maintain price‑value audits and competitive analyses, delivering concise reports to both internal stakeholders and the partner’s business team.
  • Engage directly with partner contacts to nurture program development, joint promotions, and collaborative innovation initiatives.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting (≈30% of your time)

  • Assist the Sales Director in building high‑impact presentations that influence senior leadership and partner decision‑makers.
  • Leverage internal and external data sources to generate short‑term and long‑term forecasts that drive supply chain, production, and financial planning.
  • Document competitive product launches, assess their impact on category share, and recommend tactical responses.
  • Participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles, ensuring that partner insights are embedded in sales, operations, and finance plans.
  • Lead forecasting initiatives that reflect market conditions, promotional calendars, and partner sales strategies.

Annual Planning & Execution (≈20% of your time)

  • Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and a five‑year growth horizon for the partner account.
  • Support the creation of Joint Business Planning (JBP) meetings, aligning arenaflex’s objectives with partner goals.
  • Ensure seamless execution of volume‑driving activities across the organization, from product launch to promotional rollout.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales or category management experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a proven record of driving growth for large wholesale accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects for a major wholesale retailer (experience with arenaflex’s partner is a plus).
  • Strong analytical background with hands‑on experience using market research tools such as IRI, Nielsen, or comparable data platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting dashboards; ability to translate complex data sets into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Track record of conducting financial impact analyses, ROI calculations, and demand forecasting.
