Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Define and communicate a clear technical roadmap that aligns data analytics initiatives with arenaflex’s broader business objectives.
  • Establish best‑practice standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment, ensuring robust, reusable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews, code audits, and performance assessments to drive ongoing improvement.

Data Architecture & Platform Engineering

  • Design, build, and evolve scalable data pipelines using modern cloud technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Nexspire Lake, and Snowflake.
  • Implement lakehouse architecture that blends the flexibility of data lakes with the reliability of data warehouses, enabling high‑performance analytics.
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure data platforms are secure, highly available, and cost‑optimized.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata catalogs that support both operational reporting and advanced analytics.

Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Lead the creation of predictive and prescriptive models using Python, R, and machine‑learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑Learn).
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions, delivering dashboards and visualizations via Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Drive the adoption of self‑service analytics, empowering non‑technical users to explore data safely and effectively.
  • Continuously monitor model performance, data quality, and drift, implementing automated retraining pipelines where appropriate.

Data Governance, Quality, and Security

  • Define and enforce data governance policies, including data lineage, cataloging, access controls, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Implement data quality frameworks that detect, flag, and remediate anomalies in real time.
  • Work closely with security teams to embed encryption, masking, and auditing throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Lead cross‑functional data stewardship councils to promote data literacy and responsible data usage across arenaflex.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between data science, engineering, product, and executive leadership, translating technical concepts into business value.
  • Facilitate requirement‑gathering workshops, sprint planning sessions, and “lunch‑and‑learn” events to disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.
  • Provide executive‑level briefings on analytics roadmaps, project status, and strategic recommendations.
  • Champion a data‑centric culture by promoting storytelling with data and encouraging data‑driven decision making at all levels.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) is a strong plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science, with at least 5 years in senior or principal‑level leadership roles.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven mastery of cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), lakehouse concepts, and big‑data processing frameworks (Spark, Flink, Hadoop).
  • Deep proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and modern data‑visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Extensive experience designing and operating high‑throughput data pipelines and real‑time streaming architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and operationalize machine‑learning models at scale, including model monitoring and governance.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
