Why This Role Matters

As an Enterprise Customer Engineer – Data Analytics on the North America Technical Team, you will be the bridge between arenaflex’s technical sales organization and our most strategic customers. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects and existing partners through the complexities of modern data architectures, from data lakes and warehouses to real‑time streaming pipelines. Your expertise will help customers envision, design, and adopt arenaflex Cloud solutions that solve real business challenges, accelerate time‑to‑value, and create lasting competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with sales, solution architects, and partner teams across North America to uncover and qualify high‑impact data‑analytics opportunities, translating business pain points into technical roadmaps.
  • Technical Advocacy & Enablement: Serve as the go‑to subject‑matter expert for data‑analytics technologies, delivering compelling product briefings, proof‑of‑concept (POC) demonstrations, and technical workshops that showcase arenaflex Cloud’s unique value proposition.
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Conduct deep‑dive discovery sessions with technical and executive stakeholders, capture detailed requirements, and craft end‑to‑end architectures that address data ingestion, transformation, governance, storage, and analytics at scale.
  • Sales Messaging & Content Creation: Develop and present tailored sales narratives, whitepapers, RFI/RFP responses, and visual aids (e.g., whiteboards, slide decks) that articulate the business and technical benefits of arenaflex solutions.
  • Product Influence & Feedback Loop: Partner with Product Management to relay customer insights, prioritize feature enhancements, and help shape the future roadmap of arenaflex’s data‑analytics portfolio.
  • Technical Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex data migration, performance, and scalability challenges, ensuring customers experience seamless transitions to arenaflex Cloud.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, professional services, and support teams to align on delivery commitments, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 6 years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, or supporting cloud‑native architectures in a customer‑facing or technical support capacity.
  • Proven ability to engage and present to both technical audiences and senior executive leaders, translating complex concepts into clear business outcomes.
  • Solid foundation in Big Data technologies and concepts, including data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data transformation, governance, migrations, SQL/NoSQL databases, and performance or scalability optimization for batch and streaming workloads.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales, consulting, or solution engineering within cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecture design, schema modeling, query optimization, and tuning of distributed, high‑throughput systems.
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking, platforms) and the dynamics of the cloud market, including customer buying behavior.
  • Hands‑on experience building data warehouses, data lakes, real‑time event processing pipelines, and data visualization solutions on cloud‑native platforms.
  • Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into modular, reusable technical architectures that align with best‑in‑class design patterns.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Mastery of cloud services (e.g., compute, storage, data analytics), modern data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Beam, Spark, Flink), and database technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
  • Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to lead executive briefings, workshops, and technical demos.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Ability to diagnose intricate data‑related issues, propose pragmatic solutions, and guide customers through implementation challenges.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across sales, product, engineering, and support functions, and to influence product direction through customer feedback.
  • Business Insight: Understanding of industry‑specific data challenges (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing) and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives.
