Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and store petabyte‑scale interaction data from multiple sources (voice, chat, email, and in‑app messaging).
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, and Customer Service product owners to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Implement robust data models that evolve with changing source schemas and emerging business processes, ensuring long‑term adaptability and reusability.
• Write clean, production‑ready code in Python or Scala, adhering to arenaflex’s engineering standards for readability, testability, and performance.
• Leverage big‑data technologies such as Hive, Presto, Spark, and Flink to process tens of millions of records daily, optimizing for latency, cost, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive data quality frameworks, including automated validation, anomaly detection, and alerting mechanisms.
• Construct and evolve core business metrics (e.g., First‑Contact Resolution, Average Handling Time, Sentiment Scores) that drive operational excellence.
• Build custom visualization tools and dashboards that surface real‑time insights to analysts and senior leadership, enabling rapid decision‑making.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Own end‑to‑end ownership of data reliability, from ingestion through transformation to consumption, ensuring SLAs are met and exceeded.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines with big‑data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large‑scale datasets (tens of millions of records).
• Proven data modeling expertise, with a track record of designing flexible schemas that accommodate evolving business needs.
• Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Advanced SQL skills, coupled with a deep commitment to data quality, governance, and reproducibility.
• Demonstrated analytical aptitude to translate ambiguous business problems into concrete metrics and data solutions.
