What You'll Do: Your Day-to-Day Adventures in Customer Chat Support

As a Customer Chat Support Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the digital ambassador of our hospitality brand. You will engage with guests, prospective customers, and loyal clients through live chat platforms, helping them navigate their journey with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. Core Responsibilities

  • Respond Promptly to Customer Inquiries: Engage with guests in real time via live chat, providing accurate, friendly, and helpful answers to questions about room availability, amenities, booking policies, local attractions, and more. Your typing speed and accuracy will be your superpower here.
  • Share Detailed Information About arenaflex Services and Products: Become an expert on everything arenaflex offers—from signature hospitality packages and loyalty programs to seasonal promotions and exclusive partner perks. You'll help customers discover the perfect option tailored to their unique needs.
  • Assist with Bookings, Orders, and Reservations: Guide customers through the reservation process, help them modify existing bookings, and support them in placing orders for add-on services such as spa appointments, room upgrades, dining experiences, and special occasion arrangements.
  • Resolve Complaints and Issues with Grace: When something doesn't go as planned—and occasionally it won't—you'll be the calm, solution-oriented presence that turns a frustrated customer into a loyal fan. You'll listen actively, empathize genuinely, and act swiftly to resolve concerns.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with property managers, sales teams, marketing colleagues, and technical support staff to ensure a seamless customer journey and to escalate issues when additional expertise is required.
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Spot patterns in customer questions and concerns, and proactively suggest enhancements to FAQs, help articles, chat scripts, and self-service resources.

Essential Qualifications

  • Outstanding Written Communication Skills: You know the difference between "your" and "you're," you can craft a complete sentence in under fifteen seconds, and you understand that tone in writing is everything.   • Comfort with Technology: Proficiency in chat support platforms, helpdesk software, CRM systems, and basic troubleshooting tools is essential. Experience with platforms like Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, LiveChat, or similar tools will be highly regarded.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points!)

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: Ideally 1+ year in a customer-facing role—chat, email, phone, or in-person—preferably within the hospitality, travel, or service industry.
  • Hospitality Industry Familiarity: An understanding of hotel operations, booking systems (such as Opera, Cloudbeds, or similar), and the unique rhythms of the travel and tourism sector is a strong plus.
  • Typing Speed of 60+ WPM: While not a strict requirement, fast and accurate typing will help you thrive in our high-volume chat environment.
  • Multilingual Abilities: Fluency in additional languages—especially Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, or Arabic—will open doors to expanded responsibilities and shift preferences.
  • Conflict Resolution Training: Formal or informal experience in de-escalation techniques and empathetic communication frameworks is highly valued.
