Python DevOps Engineer

CTG is seeking a Python DevOps Engineer for a remote contract opportunity. This role will support EDA initiatives by developing Python-based solutions, building APIs, and supporting cloud-native applications within AWS environments. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Python applications and automation solutions. Build and support APIs using FastAPI. Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS services. Support containerized applications using Kubernetes and AWS EKS. Work with PostgreSQL and Snowflake environments to support data-driven applications. Collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability. Assist with DevOps automation, deployment processes, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Support analytics and statistical computing environments utilizing SPSS, SAS, and R. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong Python development experience. Experience with FastAPI and REST API development. Hands-on experience with AWS, AWS EKS, and Kubernetes. Experience working with PostgreSQL and Snowflake. Understanding of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and application deployment. Familiarity with analytics and statistical tools including SPSS, SAS, and R. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience: 5+ years of experience in Python development, DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical role. Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and cloud environments. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00 to $65.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
