Job title: People Operations Specialist Location: 100% remote Salary: $15-30k USD depending on ability and experience Experience required: Direct experience is preferred but not required if you are exceptional. 100% remote. Your previous background matters less than your ability to think clearly, follow through, learn tools quickly, communicate well, and take responsibility. This is a procedural and coordination-heavy role, but it is also an important one. You will help build the internal systems that allow a fast-growing remote company to operate well. You will work directly with founders and senior operators on the internal systems that keep the company running. You will get exposure to hiring support, HR administration, tech operations, documentation, onboarding, training, executive support, and company coordination. You will use modern AI tools to make internal operations faster, clearer, and more scalable. You will learn how a remote technology company is built from the inside. You will have the chance to take ownership fast if you are dependable, proactive, and good at figuring things out. This is a great role for someone who wants to become an exceptional operator, People Operations lead, HR operator, chief of staff, recruiting coordinator, or executive assistant over time. What you’ll work on Manage internal tools, accounts, documents, calendars, hiring systems, and team processes. Keep employee, contractor, HR, payroll, leave, and policy records organized and up to date. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including documents, tool access, introductions, training materials, and access removal. Create and maintain simple documentation, checklists, SOPs, onboarding guides, and internal process notes. Manage tool access across Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Airtable, GitHub, Figma, HubSpot, Stripe, password managers, AI tools, and other software. Support team members, candidates, founders, and external partners with scheduling, follow-ups, admin tasks, and coordination. Use AI tools to draft documentation, summarize information, create templates, and improve recurring workflows. Stay flexible and take on additional responsibilities as the role and company needs evolve. What we’re looking for Very smart and quick to learn. Highly organized and reliable. Excellent written communication. Very strong attention to detail. Fast learner who can figure things out independently. Comfortable using software tools and learning new systems quickly. Familiar with AI tools, or highly motivated to become excellent at using them. Able to create clear documentation, training materials, and repeatable processes. High integrity and able to handle confidential information. Calm under pressure and good at following through. Team player who enjoys helping others succeed. Motivated, proactive, and willing to take responsibility quickly. No degree required, but a degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, operations, management, communications, or a related field is preferred. Some prior experience in operations, admin, HR, hiring coordination, customer support, executive assistance, onboarding, training, or remote team coordination is helpful, but not required if you are exceptional. Priorities may change based on what the data is telling us and what the business needs most. You will be judged by output and results, not by how busy you seem.
