[Remote] Snr/Staff Full Stack Engineer(s)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oxbow Talent is a fast-growing, Midwest-based technology organization expanding its engineering team with the hiring of Senior and Staff Full-Stack Engineers. The role involves developing cloud-native platforms on AWS that support complex operational workflows at a nationwide scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack features across highly distributed systems, working from front-end interfaces down through backend services
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications and services across the AWS ecosystem
- Collaborate with product and design to shape feature requirements, prioritize real user problems, and influence roadmap direction
- Build and evolve event-driven services, asynchronous workflows, and real-time integrations
- Design and develop systems leveraging event streaming, messaging, and distributed architecture patterns
- Ensure systems are reliable, observable, and scalable as usage grows and data volumes increase
- Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to platform-wide engineering strategies
- Mentor teammates, contribute to engineering best practices, and guide technical decision-making at scale
Skills
- Experience with a modern JavaScript/UI framework on the front-end (React & TypeScript preferred)
- Strong backend experience with Python, Node, Go or similar languages
- Strong experience building and deploying cloud-native applications within AWS environments
- Hands-on experience building systems that support large user bases, high-throughput workloads, or complex distributed operations
- Familiarity with event-driven patterns and messaging/streaming tools (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, etc.)
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production environments
- A product-oriented mindset: you care about usability, workflows, and long-term value – not just code completeness
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-moving, high-impact engineering culture
