[Remote] Sales Development Representative Lead Generation Genomics / Bioinformatics
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Intelliseq is a bioinformatics company focused on transforming complex NGS data into clinically meaningful insights. They are seeking a results-driven Sales Development Representative to identify and qualify sales opportunities across labs and health systems, leveraging an existing network in genomics and bioinformatics.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect qualified leads across target segments: clinical labs, genomics labs, health systems, CROs, and kit/assay manufacturers
- Execute targeted outbound outreach via LinkedIn, email, and phone to book qualified discovery calls and demos
- Research and pre-qualify accounts before handoff (we want informed introductions, not raw contact lists)
- Represent Intelliseq credibly in initial conversations, communicating our core value and product offerings
- Attend key conferences as needed to generate and warm up leads (ACMG, AACR, ASCO, ASHG, AMP)
- Log all activity and manage leads in CRM with consistency and accuracy
- Provide ongoing market intelligence i.e. who is buying, what objections are coming up, who the key decision makers are
Skills
- Min. 2-4 years of experience in sales, business development, or inside sales within genomics, NGS, bioinformatics, lab services, or precision medicine is ideal
- Existing network of contacts at target accounts, labs, CROs, genomics buyers, or clinical informatics teams
- Ability to speak credibly about NGS, sequencing outputs, and bioinformatics at a business level (you do not need to be a bioinformatician, you need to comprehend how the pipeline works and target audience)
- Proven track record of generating qualified pipeline — meetings booked and leads converted, not just activity volume
- Proficiency with Google Suite, HubSpot or comparable CRM; disciplined about logging activity and tracking deals
- Self-starter who can operate independently without heavy management oversight
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — our buyers are scientists and credibility matters
- Prior experience at or selling against companies developing clinical genomics, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, or oncology bioinformatics solutions
- Familiarity with tertiary analysis, clinical variant interpretation, or reporting workflows
- Experience selling platform-based software to genomics labs

- Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
- High-impact role in a fast-growing genomics company
- Access to ambitious global projects and opportunity to work with leading international laboratories and healthcare partners
- Collaborative environment with smart, driven, and inspiring people
