[Remote] Newsletters & Audience Growth Manager

BankersOnline is a trusted resource for community banks and credit unions, seeking a Newsletter & Audience Growth Manager to modernize and grow their email newsletters. The role involves leading the refresh of existing newsletters, developing new concepts, and implementing strategies for audience growth and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the refresh of Bankers Online’s four newsletters
• Lead the development for several new newsletter concepts
• Define the audience, purpose, voice, and format for each newsletter
• Manage newsletter editorial calendars and recurring content sections
• Write, edit, curate, and package content for a professional banking audience
• Work with subject-matter experts, marketing, sales, and operations
• Improve subject lines, layout, engagement, and reader experience
• Build strategies to grow subscribers and deepen engagement
• Track performance and recommend improvements based on data
• Support cross-promotion of Bankers Online content, events, memberships, and community resources

Skills

• Experience managing newsletters, email products, or recurring editorial content
• Strong writing, editing, and headline judgment
• Familiarity with email platforms such as ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Beehiiv, Mailchimp, or similar tools
• An understanding of audience development, segmentation, and engagement metrics
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work in a small-company environment
• A practical, collaborative, hands-on approach
• Interest in banking, financial services, compliance, risk, technology, or professional education
• Experience in B2B media, trade associations, financial services, professional education, or niche publishing
