[Remote] Embedded Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CyberCoders is a global electrical equipment and grid technology organization seeking an Embedded Engineer to develop high performance embedded systems for power grid technologies. The role involves designing and developing embedded software in C and C++, integrating FPGA components, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software in C and C++ for real time control, protection, and communication systems used in power grid technologies
• Develop and integrate FPGA based components using HDL such as VHDL or Verilog to support high speed signal processing and hardware acceleration
• Collaborate with electrical, firmware, FPGA, and systems engineering teams to integrate embedded software and hardware into complex electromechanical systems
• Perform debugging, testing, and validation of embedded and FPGA systems to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with system requirements
• Support the full product development lifecycle including architecture definition, prototyping, system integration, and continuous improvement of embedded platforms

Skills

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong experience in embedded software development using C and C++ in real time or embedded environments
• Working knowledge of FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog, along with experience in simulation and validation tools
• Solid understanding of embedded systems, real time processing, and hardware software integration
• Experience with communication protocols, digital signal processing, or power systems applications
• Familiarity with lab testing, debugging tools, and hardware validation processes
