[Remote] Communications Technician I | Starlink & Remote Connectivity
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EnerStar Solutions is a company that provides integrated rental and service solutions for remote worksites. They are seeking a Communications Technician to install, deploy, and support communication systems, including Starlink and LTE, while gaining hands-on experience in field technology and communications.
Responsibilities
- Support installation and deployment of communication systems including Starlink, LTE, and networking equipment
- Assist with rig-ups, rig-downs, and jobsite equipment moves
- Help install and troubleshoot internet, camera, and remote monitoring systems
- Provide basic technical support to field teams and customers
- Configure and support networking hardware such as routers, switches, and access points
- Assist with camera systems and remote monitoring setups
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs
- Check system status using cloud-based monitoring tools
- Complete work orders, service logs, and inventory tracking
- Maintain vehicle logs and ensure proper equipment care
- Follow all safety standards and actively support a strong safety culture
- Assist with field based rig set-up, moves, etc. as necessary
- Additional duties as identified
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- EnGenius Certified Network Specialist required
- 1 year of hands-on or technical team experience preferred
- Exposure to telecommunications, networking, satellite, or similar systems is an asset
