Position Overview

The Member Experience Specialist (MES) serves as the heart and soul of the arenaflex member journey. This is a dynamic, guest-facing role that blends hospitality, customer service, sales, and operational excellence into one rewarding career path. The Member Experience Specialist is responsible for delivering a fun, meaningful, and memorable experience to every member and guest on every visit.

This includes greeting members and guests with warmth and enthusiasm, creating personal connections, ensuring that any concerns or problems are addressed and reported in a timely manner, organizing and maintaining equipment, and keeping the club sparkling clean and welcoming at all times. The MES team is also responsible for creating a stellar first impression of arenaflex, selling memberships, driving membership upgrades, booking personal training consultations, and confidently touring guests and members around our state-of-the-art facilities.

Hourly position with a base pay rate of $11.30 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn $2 – $4 per hour in commission based on memberships and personal training sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Member Experience Specialist at arenaflex, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver Outstanding Hospitality: Demonstrate a genuine, kind, and welcoming attitude when interacting with guests and members. Make every person who enters the club feel seen, valued, and appreciated.
  • Warm and Engaging Greetings: Greet guests and members with a bright smile, sincere eye contact, and a courteous tone that sets the tone for a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Anticipate Member and Guest Needs: Proactively recognize what members and guests may need before they ask, and respond with clear direction, accurate information, and supportive guidance using our tools and technology platforms.
  • Master Product Knowledge: Become an expert on arenaflex membership plans, pricing structures, amenities, add-on options, class formats, and personal training offerings. Confidence in this knowledge enables confident recommendations.
  • Conduct Club Tours: Lead engaging tours following the arenaflex Guest-to-Member Journey framework, sell memberships, assist current members with plan upgrades, book Personal Training Consultations (PTC), and sign members up for personal training packages.
  • Continuous Improvement: Consistently look for opportunities to elevate the guest and member experience. Share member feedback with leadership and collaborate with the team to implement creative ideas and solutions.
  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Execute daily responsibilities to arenaflex's high standards, including following guest and member check-in processes and procedures, completing daily cleaning tasks, conducting hourly club walks to ensure cleanliness and safety, restocking merchandise, and processing REVIVE sales transactions.
  • Create a Welcoming Environment: Organize equipment, ensure the club remains sparkling clean, and contribute to a facility atmosphere that motivates and inspires members to reach their fitness goals.
  • Drive Sales Results: Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets through authentic engagement, needs-based selling, and a member-first approach that builds long-term loyalty.

Essential Qualifications

  • Comfort with technology and digital tools used for check-ins, scheduling, and sales processing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the shift, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, retail sales, or fitness is helpful but not required — we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
