Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous, analytical, and self‑driven Part‑Time Remote Data Entry Analyst to join our Global Merchant & Network Services (GM&NS) Revenue Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling, validating, and analyzing merchant rebate data for the Canada region, turning raw numbers into actionable insights that drive revenue growth and enhance merchant satisfaction. This is a remote‑first position, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work from anywhere within the United States while contributing to a high‑impact, cross‑functional finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce a monthly Canada‑wide merchant rebate revenue forecast, tracking actual performance against the forecast and identifying key drivers of variance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed merchant rebate revenue scorecards for the Canada market, ensuring data accuracy and timely distribution to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate data normalization and communication across multiple regional pricing teams, supporting consistent reporting and decision‑making processes.
  • Assist in external audits by investigating identified issues, coordinating with regional pricing teams, and managing remediation actions.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc data analyses to detect rebate rate trends, uncover hidden insights, and recommend strategic adjustments.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, merchant services, and analytics partners to translate complex data sets into clear business narratives.
  • Maintain rigorous data quality standards, performing regular checks, reconciliations, and documentation of data lineage.
  • Support the creation of financial models that forecast revenue impact of pricing initiatives and merchant incentive programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, payments, or a related finance role, with a proven track record of handling large data sets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data visualization techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and interpret sophisticated financial models, extracting actionable insights from extensive data sources.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for data‑driven problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of accountability and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL, SAS, or other data‑query languages to retrieve and manipulate large data sets.
  • Exposure to the payments or merchant rebate industry, understanding of merchant pricing structures and revenue recognition principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Prior involvement in audit preparation or external audit support activities.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives from concept through execution.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to dissect complex financial data, identify patterns, and translate them into strategic recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across finance, merchant services, product, and compliance teams.
  • Problem‑Solving: Creative thinker who challenges conventional approaches and proposes innovative solutions to longstanding challenges.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Keen focus on merchant and internal stakeholder needs, ensuring data solutions enhance overall experience.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and evolving business requirements.
  • Integrity & Ethics: Commitment to the highest standards of confidentiality, data security, and ethical conduct.
