Role Description We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for mechanical engineering and materials science professionals experienced in simulated research review, technical output evaluation, scientific methodology assessment, engineering reasoning, materials analysis, and structured feedback. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on:

• Simulated research environment review
• Engineering and materials science evaluation

Selected professionals will review complex research-style outputs and evaluate them across accuracy, methodology, scientific rigor, and domain-specific reasoning quality.

Qualifications

• Domain expertise in mechanical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, computational mechanics, applied mechanics, manufacturing, or a closely related field
• Research, academic, or industry experience reviewing technical work, experiments, simulations, or engineering analyses
• Ability to evaluate complex technical outputs for accuracy, methodology, and scientific rigor
• Strong understanding of engineering reasoning, materials behavior, modeling assumptions, or experimental design
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to explain technical feedback clearly
• High attention to detail and ability to apply structured evaluation criteria consistently
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Requirements

• BS, MS, PhD, or equivalent professional experience in mechanical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, applied mechanics, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, or a related STEM field
• Advanced research experience, graduate-level training, or applied engineering experience may be especially valuable depending on project scope
• Experience with scientific review, engineering analysis, research documentation, or technical quality assessment is highly relevant
