Your primary focus will be on creating reliable, scalable data ingestion and processing solutions that power arenaflex’s operational and analytical platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain streaming and batch data pipelines using technologies such as PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Kafka, and NiFi.

  • Testing & Validation: Write unit tests, conduct integration testing, and perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
  • Documentation: Produce clear, concise technical documentation, data dictionaries, and run‑books for all engineered solutions.
  • Big Data Ecosystem Support: Contribute to the Hadoop ecosystem, assisting peers in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and best‑practice adoption.
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration: Work with product owners, analysts, and external partners to translate business questions into technical specifications.
  • Automation & Innovation: Identify opportunities for automation, propose novel solutions, and implement them using agile methodologies.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Project Management: Apply structured project management techniques to track progress, manage risks, and deliver on schedule.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with big‑data technologies such as PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Kafka, or NiFi.
