[Remote] Database Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KTek Resourcing is seeking a Database Administrator with a strong understanding of IMS DBA principles and practices. The ideal candidate will lead project delivery, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure database integrity and performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely reporting and communication of project status
• Utilize strong IMS DBA knowledge to guide technical decisions and ensure database integrity and performance throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates and addressing any issues or risks that may arise
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Implement best practices in project management and delivery, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards, as well as industry regulations

Skills

• Strong knowledge and experience in IMS DBA, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and technologies
• Knowledge of additional database management systems beyond IMS
• Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or relevant technical certifications
