Position: Sr. Automation Engineer Contract Rate: 60-70/hr on W2 Conversion Salary Rate: 125K-135K + 8-10% Bonus Location: 100% Remote Length: 4 Month Contract to Hire Project Details: This team is needing someone who can come in and handle the automation work within the Ansible and Python code. Need someone who can code for the network devices that the network engineers configure. This person will be working mostly with Ansible, Python and Terraform but primarily Ansible. They want some knowledge in networking as well. There is a pipeline of network automation projects that they need to complete for the immediate future. The pipeline is 2 years’ worth of projects. Day to Day: This person will mainly be working with the network architecture team to do a lot of automation and get the right ansible code for all those devices (Palo Alto, SDWAN, Satellite, Cisco, Aruba, etc.). Looking for someone who has enterprise level experience. They already have a Network Architecture team who does the design and implementation, so all they need is the automation coding. They don’t need to necessarily understand why behind what they are doing, but they need to know how to complete it. Must Haves: • Ansible – automate on an enterprise level • Python • Some Networking – anything on prem and in the cloud – ansible playbooks for the network devices (previously written ansible for network devices would be ideal but not a must) • Enterprise Level Experience Nice: • Terraform • Azure DevOps Job Description: • The Senior Automation Engineer is a hands-on Engineer that will be responsible for provisioning, configuring and automating cloud services and cloud native solutions as well as designing and implementing automated software delivery pipelines for enterprise deployments. • A key focus of this role is providing solutions that are robust, scalable, and highly available. • This person is passionate about learning and enjoys a deep dive into complex problems and technologies. • Critical to this role is the ability to break down non-trivial concepts clearly and concisely for mixed audiences. Essential Functions: • Collaborate with technical teams and cloud vendors to define best practice adoption of cloud technology and deliver best of breed solutions • Automate application delivery pipelines for containerized and legacy applications running in the cloud and on-premise. • Provisioning monitoring and APM tools to provide application health insights. • Provision, configure and maintain infrastructure for multiple production and test environments • Collaborate with cross functional teams to proactively reduce MTTR or production incidents through automated healing mechanisms and curating health indicators. • Troubleshoot issues in real time as part of incident response Apply Job!
