[Remote] VP, Financial Institution Sales
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sankofa Labs Inc is developing the Kofa Engine, a private distributed ledger for institutional stablecoins and payments. The VP of Financial Institution Sales will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle for financial institution partnerships and engaging with C-suite executives to close significant deals.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for financial institution partnerships — from outreach and discovery through design letters, pilot agreements, and commercial contracts
- Build and manage a pipeline of bank, payment processor, and fintech targets aligned to Sankofa's institutional use cases
- Lead commercial conversations at the C-suite and VP level — translating Kofa's technical architecture into clear business value for compliance, treasury, and technology buyers
- Collaborate with the CTO to develop technical materials, reference architecture, and integration documentation tailored to specific institutional requirements
- Feed market intelligence back into the product roadmap — you'll be the closest person to what institutions actually need
Skills
- 6+ years in enterprise technology sales with a track record closing $500K+ deals in fintech, banking technology, or financial infrastructure
- Existing C-suite or VP-level relationships at regional or national banks, payment processors, or financial market infrastructure operators — you can name them
- Enough DLT and blockchain fluency to hold a credible technical conversation
- Experience navigating long, complex enterprise sales cycles in regulated environments
- Genuine conviction about DLT's role in institutional finance
- Comfort with equity-forward compensation — you want skin in the game, not just a paycheck
