Google Cloud Migration Delivery Lead

Title: Google Cloud Migration Delivery Lead Start Date: ASAP... Rate: $ Negotiable Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote (Client based on US East Coast) Description: In this exciting role, you will lead migration projects of workloads from their AWS or Azure environment to Google Cloud Platform, and vice versa. You will leverage your expertise in cloud migration strategies, best practices, and cloud-native services. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the entire cloud migration lifecycle: This includes establishing a foundational Cloud landing zone environment, conducting a phased migration of workloads, validating the migrated environment, and handing it over to the customer. • Develop a comprehensive migration plan: Work closely with the customer and internal teams to define an effective migration strategy, outlining activities, phases, and architecture aligned with the agreed-upon timelines and budget. • Design and implement a secure cloud environment: Establish a secure foundation in GCP by implementing best practices for security, networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and relevant infrastructure components. • Manage the lift-and-shift migration process: Migrate identified workloads, including VMs, App Services, API Management instances, and associated data and storage resources ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. • Configure and validate critical services: Set up essential functionalities including application logging, monitoring, data transfer and validation, data pipelines, and security testing. • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work effectively with engineers, architects, security professionals, and the customer to ensure seamless project execution and address any arising challenges. • Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate the migration plan, progress updates, and potential roadblocks to stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and aligned. Qualifications: • Proven experience leading and delivering successful Google Cloud, Azure and AWS migration projects. • Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies and best practices. • In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud IAM, and networking functionalities. • Experience with Azure environment and its comparable services would be a strong plus. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-phased projects. • Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously Apply Job!
