[Remote] Outside Sales Representative

Electrical Representatives is an established independent manufacturer’s representative specializing in electrical and lighting products. They are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a territory by promoting electrical and lighting products, conducting sales presentations, and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a territory by visiting distributors, contractors, OEM’s and end users to promote electrical and lighting products
- Conducting in-person and virtual sales presentations
- Demonstrating product features and benefits
- Following up on opportunities to drive new business
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Providing responsive service
- Collaborating closely with internal teams and manufacturers
- Tracking activities in a CRM
- Preparing sales reports and forecasts
- Staying current on product lines, industry trends, and competitive offerings
Skills
- Strong skills in Sales Presentations and Communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- Proven ability in Relationship Building and Customer Service, focused on long-term partnerships and responsive support
- Experience in New Business Development, including prospecting, territory growth, and closing opportunities
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time effectively between field visits, office work, and remote activities
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, hold a valid driver's license, and meet any applicable driving requirements
- Proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools for tracking opportunities and reporting results
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous outside sales experience in electrical, lighting, or related industries is strongly preferred
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus
