[Remote] VP, Product Design & Experience - Property & Specialty
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a VP, Product Design & Experience for their Property & Specialty division. This role involves leading the strategy for personal lines property products, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving innovative solutions to enhance customer experiences. The VP will also be responsible for managing a high-performing team and ensuring operational excellence through data-driven approaches.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Homeowners product portfolio, designing innovative products and offering strategies that drive profitable growth across both Independent Agent and Direct channels
- Lead strategy for Coverage A adequacy, including ownership of default settings, customer experience, renewal treatment, and related coverage decisions
- Define and evolve contract language strategy in partnership with Claims, Legal, Underwriting, and other key stakeholders, ensuring our products remain responsive to changing market conditions and customer needs while driving consistency, clarity, and strong customer outcomes
- Shape and optimize renewal experience strategies, including capping, rewrites, loyalty programs, and other retention levers, to improve customer lifetime value and support sustainable growth
- Serve as a critical contributor to our key technology platform initiative, translating product, underwriting, and operational expertise into a modern technology platform that enhances speed to market and scalability
- Drive operational excellence across Property Solutions capabilities, leveraging data, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies-including AI-to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement while advancing both organizational objectives and individual career growth
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry with progressive responsibility
- Experience managing individuals or operations required
- Expert knowledge of product offerings, business processes, product line systems, underwriting rules, pricing plans and databases
- Expert knowledge/expertise of insurance concepts and financial metrics
- Must have exceptional planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills, including proven ability to leverage skills and influence other leaders across a matrixed organization
- Advanced degree and/or ACAS/FCAS designation preferred
