[Remote] Senior Product Designer

They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to enhance user experiences and integrate AI-driven solutions into their product offerings, collaborating closely with various teams to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Create user experiences and interfaces for product prototypes in keeping with industry standards and best practices
• Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences across web, mobile, and AI-driven touchpoints
• Create user journeys, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes across multiple devices and interfaces
• Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design intent, using AI-assisted tools to rapidly explore and iterate on concepts
• Design innovative features that leverage generative AI to transform how users interact with and complete their tax filing experience
• Contribute to defining what AI-native experiences look and feel like at scale across the Taxwell product ecosystem
• Develop reusable AI-informed design patterns and interaction paradigms that can be applied across products and surfaces
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, research, and data science to define, iterate, and ship features, ensuring alignment across user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
• Recommend metrics to define, manage, and measure design success and prioritize enhancements
• Create and present strategies and recommendations to design partners and stakeholders, articulating rationale clearly and confidently
• Use expertise, storytelling, and persuasion to influence the product vision and design
• Measure and explain the value of design to stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative data

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise designing solutions for software, web applications, or mobile native apps
• 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise using industry-standard design and prototyping tools to create low- and high-fidelity designs, such as Figma
• Deep proficiency with AI-powered design tools and workflows, with a track record of integrating AI capabilities into the design process and championing adoption across your team
• Experience designing AI-powered features or products—such as conversational interfaces, intelligent recommendations, predictive workflows, or agentic experiences—with proven ability to ship to production with real outcomes
• Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating with, and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, including leadership
• Demonstrated experience applying the design decision-making process and incorporating data and key findings into designs
• Demonstrated experience supporting the iterative design process end-to-end, including wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals
• Foundational understanding of common design heuristics and principles
• Ability to accept feedback gracefully while also knowing when to push back respectfully
• Takes ownership of own work and AI-assisted outputs alike—being accountable to deadlines and to the quality of everything that ships, regardless of how it was produced
• Delivers impactful presentations and uses storytelling to influence and persuade others
• Can show examples of redesigning how design work gets done: abandoning the previous status quo and reinventing the process with AI at the core

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors, or a related field
• Experience shipping end-to-end AI workflows—not just conversational interfaces—to production with measurable outcomes
• Proficiency with vibe coding and AI-assisted prototyping—using generative AI to rapidly bring design ideas to life in code
