Overview

Smile Brands is a leading provider of dental support services, and we are seeking an Insurance Payment Processor to join our Midwest Dental team. This role supports our dental offices by accurately posting insurance payments and denials, researching patient accounts, and ensuring payments are applied correctly. While experience in dental or medical payment posting is not required, we are looking for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, production-driven environments, enjoy meeting goals, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work. This is a fully remote position. Candidates located in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, or Iowa are strongly preferred. Schedule (days/hours) Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm & Friday 7am-1pm

Responsibilities

Build positive working relationships with dental offices through phone and email communication regarding patient accounts. Communicate with insurance companies to research claim payments and determine the appropriate application of payments to patient accounts. Accurately post insurance payments, adjustments, and denials according to Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documentation. Submit primary EOB documentation to secondary insurance carriers as needed. Research and resolve account discrepancies while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Meet established productivity goals based on tenure.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience working in a production-driven, metrics-based environment where performance was measured through productivity, quality, service, sales, or similar goals. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed individual performance expectations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when processing high volumes of information. Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems and software quickly. Ability to set up equipment and troubleshoot technology issues, including internet connectivity, software access, workstation setup, etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, stay organized, and remain productive in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working remotely. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Compensation $16 - $18/hr
