[Remote] Designer/Social Media Creative (contract)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hilton is a globally recognized brand seeking a creative professional for their in-house creative studio within Global Marketing and Loyalty. The role involves conceptualizing, designing, and executing innovative creative solutions for various brand areas, including print, web, and social media, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance consumer engagement and brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts in partnership with the Creative Director, Art Directors, and Marketing Strategists
  • Collaborate with Loyalty, Enterprise, Luxury, and Brand marketing teams to understand business objectives and creative needs in support of direct response marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to interpret creative briefs and develop compelling creative solutions across omni-channel touchpoints with a customer-first lens
  • Manage graphic design and social asset creation from concept through design, production, completion, and delivery
  • Present creative ideas and provide business rationale to internal stakeholders for approval and development
  • Evolve, revise, or redevelop marketing and social assets in response to feedback from the Creative Director or internal stakeholders
  • Assist the team with day-to-day production requests, including image selection and reformatting creative for various channels
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines while collaborating across multiple stakeholders with varying priorities
  • Work closely with the project manager to keep all projects on track
  • Adhere to brand identity standards and guidelines while helping to inform the evolution and extension of the visual identity
  • Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval
  • Stay current on industry trends, particularly in the digital and social space, and share ideas and recommendations for innovating new templates and design approaches

Skills

  • 5+ years of relevant design experience, preferably in a design firm, advertising or social agency, or in-house creative department
  • Experience working with a marketing or social department with an understanding of business objectives and the ability to find creative solutions to help achieve those objectives
  • Experience developing rich media and other forms of online advertising or social media assets
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of experience, concepts, and visual styles
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns for various internal brand clients simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to inspire and sell creative rationale to senior management and cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivation, flexibility, confidence, enthusiasm, and determination
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Market awareness with the ability to understand and connect with target audiences
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships quickly across multiple functions
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals and messaging hierarchy
  • Ability to develop, present, and pitch creative ideas effectively
  • Strong creative and organizational problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to apply style guides creatively while upholding brand identity standards
  • Strong interest in social and cultural trends and emerging digital technologies
  • Animation and video production experience is a plus
  • Experience supervising junior designers is a plus
  • Experience working at a creative agency is a plus
  • Background in hospitality, luxury, or consumer brands is a plus
