Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with UI/UX designers, product owners, and security engineers to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for guest‑facing support flows.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop reusable Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, reliable deployments across AWS environments.
  • Security & Compliance: Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and remediation activities to meet industry‑standard security requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct load, stress, and chaos testing; fine‑tune microservices for latency, throughput, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers, champion best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning within the engineering organization.
  • On‑Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to ensure 24/7 reliability of critical guest‑support services.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Java 8+ and modern Java frameworks (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Tomcat).
  • Deep understanding of Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microservices patterns.
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Redis, CloudWatch, Kinesis, and API Gateway.
  • Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and observability tools such as AppDynamics and Splunk.
