Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Data Entry & Call Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team on a part‑time basis. In this role, you will serve as a critical bridge between internal stakeholders and external partners, translating business needs into clear technical specifications, performing data analysis, and delivering exceptional support to our members and vendors. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $32 and flexible scheduling to accommodate work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Engage with business users to understand and document functional requirements for data‑entry processes, ensuring alignment with overall IT strategy.
  • System Design & Documentation: Produce clear, concise functional specifications for user‑interface (UI) and data‑interface requirements, translating business needs into actionable technical designs.
  • Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough data analysis and validation activities, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaboration with Vendors: Communicate technical issues and solutions with external vendors, providing input on functional designs and supporting implementation efforts.
  • Testing & Verification: Develop and execute test plans—including unit, integration, and system testing—to verify that solutions meet defined requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows, recommend enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the data‑entry lifecycle.
  • Support & Training: Assist colleagues in building the skills needed to interpret requirements, use new tools effectively, and adopt best practices.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement corrective actions before they impact operations.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and best‑practice frameworks throughout all project phases.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, specifically in data‑entry and functional analysis roles.
  • At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, or related consulting activities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex business processes and propose practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective time‑management skills.
  • Experience thriving in an agile, fast‑paced environment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer‑service orientation with a track record of delivering high‑quality support experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous involvement in ERP implementation projects, preferably within a retail or wholesale context.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex‑branded procurement and financial systems (formerly known as SAP Ariba and PeopleSoft).
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as arenaflex‑branded email, spreadsheets, and presentation software (formerly Google Workspace).
  • Knowledge of arenaflex‑branded service management platforms (formerly ServiceNow) for ticketing and portfolio management.
  • Exposure to procurement processes, including supplier onboarding, contract management, purchase order creation, invoicing, and payment cycles.
