[Remote] Housing Counselor - Level 1

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Navicore Solutions is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting financial wellness through education and support. They are seeking a Housing Counselor to provide housing counseling to homeowners, educate them on financial products, and assist in creating customized action plans.

Responsibilities

• Educate homeowners on various financial products and align their financial goals
• Deliver clear, consistent client education and program guidelines
• Provide resources and customized client action plans to clients as needed
• Conduct high-volume inbound and outbound phone communication with clients in a professional manner
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through effective telephone engagement
• Accurately enter, update, and transfer client data in applicable systems
• Participate in required training sessions related to programs, services, and compliance
• Meet established performance, productivity, and behavioral expectations
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards; incorporate feedback from management

Skills

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Required to obtain HUD Housing Counselor Certification within 30 days of hire (study materials provided)
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to punctuality and dependable attendance
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate professionally in a high-volume call center setting (inbound and outbound)
• Strong active listening skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately
• Ability to spend the majority of the workday on the phone
• Must be computer literate, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including typing at least 40 words per minute
• Willingness and availability to attend all required training courses
• Prior call center experience required; mortgage and/or housing industry experience is a plus
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screening process including criminal background check and drug screen
• College Degree Preferred or relevant work experience
• Demonstrated empathy while maintaining clear guidance and direction for clients
• Must have a positive and professional attitude
