Strategic Sales Director - North America (West Coast)

Job Description: Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Account Leadership (North America Focus) Develop and manage relationships with C-suite stakeholders (COO, CTO, VP Operations, VP Maintenance) across key North American accounts. Lead account strategies for major industrial clients in:Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream) Mining & Minerals Power Generation & Utilities Heavy Manufacturing Position AVT Reliability as a trusted advisor in asset performance and operational risk management. 2. Revenue Growth & Market Expansion Own and deliver revenue growth across the USA and Canada, aligned with AVT’s strategic objectives. Identify, develop, and close high-value, technically complex opportunities. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of enterprise-level opportunities. Expand AVT’s footprint in key industrial hubs (e.g., Alberta, Texas, Gulf Coast, Midwest manufacturing belt). 3. C-Suite Value Selling Translate reliability improvements into commercial and executive-level outcomes, including:Increased uptime and production output Reduced total cost of maintenance Risk mitigation and asset life extension ESG and sustainability improvements Lead consultative sales engagements focused on long-term strategic value rather than transactional sales. 4. Technical Authority & Industry Credibility Operate as a senior technical advisor with expertise in:Vibration analysis and condition monitoring Predictive maintenance strategies Industrial IoT and remote monitoring solutions Maintain credibility at a level comparable to leading industry reliability professionals. Bridge the gap between engineering detail and commercial decision-making. 5. Solution Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, product, and service teams to develop tailored reliability solutions. Ensure all solutions are technically robust, commercially viable, and outcome-driven. Collaborate with AESSEAL Group companies to maximise cross-selling and integrated solutions. 6. Market Intelligence & Industry Presence Provide ongoing insight into North American market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Represent AVT Reliability at industry events, conferences, and customer forums across the region. Support the development of AVT’s go-to-market strategy in North America. Candidate Profile Experience Proven track record in a senior technical sales / business development role within:Reliability engineering Condition monitoring / IIoT Rotating equipment or industrial services Strong experience selling into North American industrial markets. Demonstrated success in engaging and influencing C-suite and senior stakeholders. History of delivering large, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales wins. Technical Expertise Deep understanding of:Vibration analysis and condition monitoring technologies Predictive and proactive maintenance strategies Industrial plant operations and asset management Ability to command credibility equivalent to a senior reliability professional (Lee McFarlane calibre). Commercial & Leadership Skills Strong commercial acumen with a strategic approach to account growth. Highly effective communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value. Skilled in negotiation and closing high-value, long-cycle deals. Self-sufficient, driven, and comfortable operating across a geographically dispersed region.
