[Remote] WordPress Developer – Elementor & Avada (Africa)

Talent Hackers is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality WordPress websites and landing pages. The role involves optimizing site performance and SEO, implementing integrations and tracking tools, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing multiple client projects to ensure timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom WordPress sites
  • Deliver 3 to 5 high-quality WordPress websites/pages per month
  • Create landing pages optimized for conversions
  • Maintain and update existing client WordPress sites
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices for high site performance
  • Embed and manage tracking scripts like Active Campaign
  • Troubleshoot WordPress issues and handle quick fixes as needed
  • Optimize site speed, structure, and mobile responsiveness
  • Collaborate through Slack and manage tasks in Notion or similar PM tools
  • Assist with other client delivery and administrative tasks as needed Skills
  • 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience
  • Hands-on experience with the Avada and Elementor plugins/themes
  • Ability to edit/update high-quality sites and pages on a reasonable timeline
  • Proficiency with page builders, themes, and custom code
  • Experience setting up plugins, integrations, and automations
  • Solid understanding of SEO structure and technical SEO
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and ownership of deliverables
  • Experience embedding tracking tools like ActiveCampaign
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Demonstrated history working as an individual contributor with a high attention to detail
  • Strong (C-level) written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time EST aligned
  • Experience building sites for consulting services
  • Familiarity with Slack, Notion, and Gmail workflows Company Overview
